CPR or life saving techniques is an art that is extremely essential for everyone to learn because no one knows when an accident may strike. Anytime and anywhere, emergencies may pop out and only those who know these techniques will be able to react properly in this type of situation. In order to get to know more about this type of art, then one should take up some CPR classes Orlando.

Before even attempting to give any form of treatment, one must first know if the patient is in need of lifesaving or not because if he is not, then these techniques may do more harm than good. One way to do this would be to first shake up the person or lightly slap his face to see if he would wake up. If he does not, then it is now time to make use of some lifesaving techniques.

Now before performing any type of treatment, it is very important that one check the severity of the condition of the patient first. In order to do this, one of the techniques would be to check the pulse in both the neck area and the wrist. If the pulse is normal then everything is still regular but if the pulse is rather weak or slow, then it is already a sign that there is something wrong.

After learning how to check the pulse properly, the next thing that one would be learning would be how to correctly position the body. Take note that the position of the unconscious individual has to be very relaxed so that proper treatment can be given. The best type of position would be the lying down position where he will lie down on his back.

The first technique that one will be learning would be the the press which involves using two hands to press down the chest of the unconscious person. In order to do this one must first put his left hand on the chest of the patient and then put his right hand over the left. Once he is in this position, then he must start pumping the chest until the unconscious person responds.

Another technique that will be taught would be none other than the most common mouth to mouth. Doing mouth to mouth resuscitation just involves blowing some air into the lungs of the patient. The main purpose of this act is to ensure that the person who is unconscious does have a shortness of breath.

Once the chest compression and mouth to mouth resuscitation have been finished, then all one needs to do is repeat the process. Remember that the number of pumps that one should do would be a hundred in a single minute. The compression and the mouth to mouth should be done until the patient starts to recover his consciousness.

So if one were to take up some CPR classes Orlando, then take note of some of these things that will be tackled in the curriculum. Although there are so many other techniques and methods that will be taught, these are some of the most basic ones that are there. The reason why these techniques are the most important are because these are the ones that are the most used.
