Oh the breakfast foods. When it comes to the life of one Pawnee resident, Leslie Knope, there is nothing better to eat than the foods eaten at breakfast time. And she is not the only (albeit fictional) person to think this.

As college students, we need to find a way to balance our lives. No one can be happy and successful if they do not first find a way to have a good mix of mental, physical, emotional, and social aspects of their lives. Without this mixture, life can become too overwhelming and high stress, or the important things can fall by the wayside in pursuit of things that are less important.

One of the best ways to find balance in your college life is to organize your time well and to stick to your schedule. As you begin the semester, make a schedule of the time you are in class, and scheduled work times. Once you have done this, it is time to figure out what to do with all of the time that is left open.

After you have made that decision, you need to think about the kinds of majors you find particularly interesting and that you feel you will enjoy in your life. Finding something that you will look forward to doing every morning will help you to be more satisfied in your work life, and more able to come to work every day with a smile.

With this rule, and your priorities in mind, make yourself a complete schedule. Make sure to give yourself time to study, with scheduled breaks so you won't become overwhelmed or burned out. Schedule yourself time for exercise and self-expression so you can feel fulfilled in your decisions and in the way you spend your time.

Eating breakfast will help you to have the energy to physically do the things you must do throughout the day. College promotes a busy lifestyle that can sometimes be tiring and overwhelming, but by eating a balanced breakfast, you can combat this exhaustion and be healthier and happier throughout the day and be more energized and able to have fun with your friends in the night!

Breakfast foods can also help you increase your mental capacities. Eating in the morning before going to class can help you to pay closer attention, understand material more easily, and to perform more effectively throughout your school day! With the help of regular balanced breakfasts, you will be able to perform at a higher level more consistently in college.

But this does not mean that your life in college should be overrun with stress or fear! Find a way to balance your life with a well-organized plan. Also, be willing to be spontaneous from time to time. Your experience at colleges in Ogden, or anywhere else, should be fulfilling, and you should be able to create memories that you will enjoy for the rest of your life.

You are in college, and the time to start your exciting path to the future is now!
