There are many things that students should learn when they are in school. An organization in United States of America that was sponsored by the National Governors association and Council of Chief State School Officers established education standards in the region. These standards from these common core materials were to be met by any student before graduating from high school. The standards provided that every student should know English and Math at the end of each grade.

These standards did not originate from the moon. There was a specific criteria that was used in coming up with all the standards. Many surveys and researches were conducted to establish what students lacked in their high school life that was essential in their college life. The organization also researched on the education system of many different nations and made a comparison to come up with all necessary requirements needed to set up a new system.

The system of education was internationally bench marked. Anybody who passed through this system of education was very useful in the society and the whole world at large. The program received some critics that it was a project of the government. The federal government did not play any role in the development of those standards.

The system was established to help the students but not the government. Many students indeed benefited from the system as many others who are still passing through this system. Maryland was the first to adopt it. From here, many saw its benefits and adopted it too. The established cords helped students from different backgrounds to understand and recognize their talents.

The good thing about this new system is that it agave an opportunity for team to get alternative assessments mainly designed to measure growth of each learner. In English for instance, they introduced standards that supported it and would not interfere with the already existing proficiency standards. That way, these standards never undermined learners with disabilities because they benefited from it just like other learners.

There was better, balanced assessment and reliable education systems. With this, the next generation of students would provide better and more usable feed backs for parents, students and teachers. These standards provided by the organization were more rigorous but also more focused. The implementation of an entire process was not easy.

Critical investments had to be made to ensure that the work continues on a higher pace. Resources also had to be laid to ensure educators have time and necessary requirements to collaborate and make requirements to classroom instructions. Technology was also another requirement that was required to ensure the process is enhanced. Teachers were also another very essential requirement in the implementation.

Teachers were also required to be sharp and properly informed about the new platform of education. This called for the employment of qualified and more experienced teachers to implement the work. There was no way a teacher could be able to teach students something he is not well conversant with. They had to pass through it first.

Parents also had a very big role to play in the success of the system or failure of the system. The first step for them was to understand the system before they can pass it to their kids. Their interest in it will contribute to the success of the whole system. All that entails the common core materials.
