Upon completion of the program, you will receive an affidavit of completion. With this you can work up to 120 days without certification. However, you will need to be certified by taking a special exam given by the state boards. Once this exam is taken and passed, you will be a Certified Nurses Aide or CNA.

The actual job involves aspects of basic nursing skills. These include things like changing bandages and bed linens, bathing and feeding patients, taking vital signs like blood pressure and temperature, and helping patients moving from in and out of their beds. It is very important to have good people skills to be able to relate well to your patients.

Once you obtain official certification, jobs will be available in medical places like hospitals, nursing homes, long-term health facilities, or home health care situations. The job availability for this profession is very good. You chances of finding a job quickly after graduation are very high.
